Concert Works

Oliver Muxworthy is a composer of concert works and production music. A graduate of Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, he studied composition with John Ashton Thomas, Errollyn Wallen and Edward Jessen. His concert works have been performed by orchestras, string ensembles, brass bands and many smaller ensembles and soloists.

In 2015, his piano piece Light Coils won first place in the John Halford Prize for piano competition, performed by pianist Min Young Bae. In 2017, Oliver was commissioned as one of seven composers to write a piece of music in celebration of Classic FM's 25th birthday, in partnership with the Royal Philharmonic Society. His piece Rigaudon was premiered by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra at the Welsh Proms on July 25th 2017. In 2023, he was commissioned by baritone James Newby to compose a new work, Two Dowland Songs, which was performed at Wigmore Hall in December 2023 by Newby and Joseph Middleton.

His production music is written under a pseudonym and published with Ninja Tune Production Music, a sub-publisher of Universal Production Music. His library tracks have been played on TV, radio and other media across the world.
